I ran cross country as a college athlete at BYU Hawaii. As one of two Polynesians on the team, I felt a strong desire to represent my culture and show up for myself and my community!
After college, I continued to develop my own skills as an athlete. I became a personal trainer, and a sports conditioning, nutrition and health coach. I spent many hours training and learning all about health and fitness. It was at this time I had a traumatic injury and was told I could no longer run.
You pour your heart and soul into every practice and you show up for game time... you're determined to improve your skills! However, no matter how hard you work, it doesn't feel like it's enough and on top of that, you're struggling to maintain important relationships and keep up with school work. You're craving better balance in your life and more confidence as you perform.
Without my title of athlete, I struggled for over a year. No matter what I did, I still felt broken and lost. I eventually heard a talk about the importance of mental health and how it is just as important as physical health. I sought out a therapist, which led to my healing and my discovery of life coaching.
My life changed.
My personal and professional experiences have led me to a place where I know I can help athletes find their value as more than an athlete and create better balance and confidence in their personal lives.
I was ready to quit when I started my journey with Lorrine and now I want to play more than anything. She has helped me get to the next level mentally which has lead me to perform better on the field!
I love that I can see progress with each meeting that we have had together. She has helped me develop a growth mindset and encourages me to apply that mindset to academics and athletics.
I have only worked with Lorrine for a short time but within the short time I have learned so much and I have changed the way I think so that now I can walk into practice and competition as a more confident athlete.

Lorrine has had such a positive impact on my mental health as an athlete and as a person.
Our mind is here to help us in sports, but we need to learn how to navigate our thoughts so that we can channel that energy toward success. Lorrine has helped me realize how important our mental health is and that if we want to succeed in sports and in life we need to learn how to take control of our thoughts and our mind.
